It was basically like robotics Christmas this afternoon.. we are so proud to announce that Bixby High School was the recipient of a competitive $25,000 CareerTech grant! These funds enabled us to purchase new equipment and supplies for our brand new “Robotics Engineering” course. This class will be available to students in 9th - 12th grade starting this coming school year!

Our Intro to VEX IQ summer camp has been a hit! We’re focusing on introducing robotics fundamentals such as using sensors in code, reducing friction in subsystems, calculating gear ratio, and even how to properly shake hands and introduce yourself with judges. 🍎 Teaching technical and soft skills are essential components to equipping students for long term success, both on and off the field. Great job, coaches! 🤖

Week 1 of robotics summer camp is halfway through! These engineers have been hard at work learning and having fun in the process, too. Keep up the good work!! 🤖 Next week is our last week and we do have a few available spots left for ALL students aged 3rd - 8th grade. 🔗👇
