Today the Social Work and Addiction Counseling Programs held their annual Field Workshop. We are grateful for partnerships with North Dakota AHEC, who sponsored registration for all attendees, and Heartview Foundation. Thank you to each of our presenters, including senior social work students, as well as everyone who joined us for a fun day of professional development!

Heartview Case Manager Katie and Social Work Intern Cassandra participated in this week's Unsheltered Point in Time (PIT) count. They joined other volunteers who completed 104 surveys of people experiencing homelessness on Jan. 28. An accurate count helps the Bismarck community better address homelessness.

As part of their Generalist Practice with Groups class, senior social work students facilitated groups at the North Dakota State Penitentiary. We are grateful for our community partnerships that provide such great learning experiences for our students!
