What a great way to begin a new school year! We are already three days in, and it has been wonderful to have our students and staff back in the building.

We were especially blessed this week to welcome back three SMCHS graduates who are currently seminarians for the Bismarck Diocese. They spent time with students in their Theology classes, sharing their stories, talking about their vocational journeys, and answering questions from our students.

It was a great opportunity for our students to hear firsthand how God has been working in the lives of three people who once sat in these same classrooms. We are grateful they took the time to come back and share their witness with our school community.

What a blessing to begin the school year with our students and staff back together and with the opportunity to celebrate the ways God continues to work through our SMCHS community. Please join us in praying for these three young men, all of our seminarians, and our current students as they continue to discern and pursue God's call in their lives.

Join us on Thursday, August 6, for the First-Ever Vocation Celebration sponsored by the St. Serra Vocations Apostolate.

The event begins at 5:30 PM with Holy Mass at Our Lady of Victory Chapel on the campus of St. Mary's Central High School.

Enjoy a German-style meal (free will offering). Ten meat markets from across Western ND will be participating in a "supreme sausage" competition - you can vote for your favorite butcher!

Last Thursday, friends of Light of Christ Catholic Schools gathered on the rooftop at Stonehome Brewing Co. for an evening centered on something much bigger than great views, live jazz, and good company.

Together, we celebrated our mission in Catholic education, which is getting students ready academically, spiritually and socially for their future.

Despite the summer heat, our supporters came together to invest in the future of our students. Every conversation shared, every recurring gift, and every person who attended helps strengthen the faith-filled education taking place each day in our five Bismarck Catholic schools.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for spending your evening with us. Your generosity, friendship and unwavering support continue to make a lasting difference.

Each summer, our incoming seniors have the opportunity to travel to Italy with the University of Mary Rome Pilgrimage. We are grateful for this incredible experience for our students to grow in faith and walk in the footsteps of many SAINTS! Thank you to Fr.
