Reminder: This month we will be meeting at the Heritage Center Museum Atrium for a fabulous tour of "the secrets of the basement". We will get to see fossil extractions in progress, and file drawers full of mineral, stone and fossil specimens. Please join us at 12:30pm on Sunday March 15th.

Annual Gem & Mineral Show turns 50 Visitors were free to look at the different tables full of fossils, gems, and rocks and purchase some to start or add to their collections.
Wow! This 50th Anniversary show is one to remember! With over 600 attendees total, we'd like to thank the Eagles, vendors, and club volunteers who all made this show possible!

Don’t miss the awesome talks this weekend! Skye is talking about fluorescent minerals, and Terry demonstrates gold panning. Sadly today was the only day to hear NDSU’s Dr. Allan Ashworth present on Climate changes since the Ice Age.
To let everyone know, Dr. Ashworth’s talk on Friday will be Climate Change in North Dakota Since the Ice Ages. It’ll be a great talk from an excellent speaker!

A quick reminder that the annual fossil pinecone hunt will be taking place this Sunday, September 15th. This is for members only (insurance purposes) - so if you have a friend you'd like to bring along, make sure they bring along dues and a membership form (we can take cash or check on site). We will be meeting at the Mandan Legion Park, located at 1111 10th Ave. SW, Mandan. The group leaves by 9am sharp - so make sure to get there a few minutes early!
The landowners have allowed us to scrounge their property for decades, so PLEASE make sure to respect their hospitality. Take all trash back with you, don't litter, and show them how kind and courteous rockhounds are.
