Ofcourse we almost missed it! But April is OT Appreciation month and BOY DO WE LOVE OUR OTs!!! At LGP we welcome outside services with open doors and arms! There are so many benefits to Occupational Therapy and I as an educator wouldn’t suggest it if I didn’t see the results first hand daily! Fine motor, gross motor, social emotional, behavioral regulation are just some of the skills that are worked through in occupational therapy and we believe that if we can master and improve those skills now, we are setting up our kids for a successful educational career and life! Thank you to our very favorite OTs you KNOW who you are! 🤟🏼

Linden Grove Summer Day Camp Registration Form
For Children Aged 3–6 Years Old
(Monday-Thursday, June & July Sessions)
Linden Grove Summer Day Camp is designed to keep your child active, engaged and growing throughout our summer sessions. Our staff will provide an enriching and exciting environment filled with all the summer activities kids love while keeping the structure and boundaries that our children need to thrive. Our mornings are structured with weekly themed hands-on academic activities, lessons and outdoor play. Our afternoons are more laid back with lunch, stories, rest and EXTRA outdoor play ensuring children are kept safe throughout. Weather permitting, children will participate in water play (excluding pools) as often as possible. When possible, with the help of parent drivers we will venture on a few field trips. Please let Miss Kaila know if you would like to be put on a “potential driver” list.
*All children must be fully potty trained to attend camp (this includes independently wiping).
* Campers must bring a morning snack, and a lunch- one afternoon snack will be provided daily.

A great read! At LGP we make “risky play” a priority! Go UP the slide, climb ON TOP of the tunnel, roll down the hills, lift and carry the boulders, spin on the swings and jump off the rock wall. Our number one priority is always safety and to contrary belief kids can be safe AND play with risk to grow their physical, mental and emotional development!

Yes!!! Let’s get outside!!!
This is the time of year when many early childhood programs limit outdoor time under the heading of "bad weather." As we know, though, there is no bad weather when you have the right gear 🧤 With our current temperatures around 20-30°, we still easily get 3+ hours outside every day (not including the time it takes to put gear on, which is always so much longer at the start of winter 😅).
Wonderfully Wild provides the following winter gear for enrolled students:
☃️Oaki snowsuit - warm and waterproof
⛄️Stonz winter mittens - warm and waterproof
☃️Turtlefur balaclava - a multipurpose layer
⛄️BOGS boots - warm, waterproof, and allow for independence in putting on gear
☃️HEAD thin mittens - an option for warmer days, especially for students who are sensitive to the feeling of the bigger layers
These have worked well for us, but there are so many high-quality brands. Black Friday is the time I watch for deals.
In addition to the brands above, look for Reima, Polarn O, Pyret, Didriksons, Helly Hansen, Patagonia, and North Face (among others) as recommended brands for cold, snowy winters. These brands are well made and will last for several years - don't be afraid to buy secondhand or plan on passing them down among siblings and friends 🤗
As a final note, though, there is no harm in layering up with whatever you already have and getting outdoors for as long as you can. Come in when cold or wet, warm up, dry your gear, and start over 😄 You don't need new, expensive gear to get outside ❄️
Hey guys! With Amazon prime, target circle days AND cold season coming up we could use some restocks and donations!
We are looking for:
Clorox wipes
Paper towels
Hand sanitizer
And playdo 😜
