🏆2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee: The 2029 Volleyball Team🏆
The 2019 Bismarck State College volleyball team delivered one of the most historic seasons in program history, earning a fourth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament and establishing themselves among the elite teams in the nation. Entering the tournament ranked No. 12, the Mystics rose to the occasion on the national stage, exceeding expectations and showcasing their resilience, talent, and competitive drive.
The team will be honored as part of the 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees during this year’s Alumni Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet. Help us celebrate their outstanding athletic achievements and lasting impact on BSC athletics in the comments!

🏆2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee: Jeni Walsh 🏆
Jeni Walsh is recognized for her exceptional leadership, program-building success, and lasting impact on Mystic athltics. During her time coaching Volleyball at BSC, Walsh helped usher in one of the most successful eras in program history, setting multiple team records while establishing a culture rooted in accountability, growth, and excellence. Walsh never posted a losing season, accumulating 213 wins against 83 losses.

🏆 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee: Evonne Vaplon 🏆
Evonne Vaplon is one of the most versatile and dominant athletes in the history of BSC track and field. Competing during the early era of Title IX, she was a trailblazer for women’s athletics at BJC, helping set the standard for future female student-athletes. During the record-breaking 1977 season, Evonne led the team to a state championship by winning individual titles in the shot put, discus, and javelin, earning a spot at the NJCAA National Championships and cementing her legacy as a legendary multi-event competitor.
Evonne will be honored as part of the 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees during this year’s Alumni Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet. Join us as we celebrate her outstanding athletic achievements and lasting impact on BSC athletics.
