Legacy has a spring date lined up for the ASVAB test. Please complete registration at the link below (even if you previously indicated interest). Space is limited.
Test opportunities are very limited. For this reason, Juniors are especially encouraged to sign up for this test date, even if they are not certain they will need the ASVAB.

Why: Although ASVAB scores are primarily used to determine enlistment eligibility, assign applicants to military jobs, and aid students in career exploration, students who DID NOT score 24 or higher on the ACT, or didn’t take it at all, will need to score 50+ on the ASVAB (in addition to taking the ACT WorkKeys assessment) to qualify for the North Dakota $6,000 Scholarship.

Thank you to Ann Stewart for putting out a message for donations today to a wonderful group of ladies. Ann messaged her friends and within a couple of hours we had these bags at our door! It was an incredibly moving moment this afternoon. We truly have the BEST community!

Every week we try to supplement our donated weekend food bags with a family meal (ex. Noodles, sauce, a can of vegetables, can of fruit), another easy instant meal for our kids, and/or a couple of snacks. These donations, whether large or small, make our pantry program sustainable and ensure all Legacy kids have access to enough food through the weekend.

If you clean out your pantry this spring and find you have a little (unexpired) extra that you won’t use (a can of soup or vegetables or fruit, extra snacks your kids all of a sudden decide they don’t like, an extra package of noodles because it was a great deal at your favorite store…) please consider sending it along with your child to school. We’re certain your child’s favorite teacher would love a donation of snacks also - many of our teachers purchase snacks with their own money for hungry kids in class or the Saber Center. Food donations and gift cards to purchase pantry items are accepted at any time in the counseling office.

Update:
The LHS April test date is full. BHS had two seats remaining as of this morning.

June: LHS is the only BPS test site available and approximately 35 seats remain.

Juniors - if you have not taken the ACT yet, you are strongly encouraged to register for the June test date today. These seats will fill and are open to the general public (ie. not just LHS/BPS students).

If you try to register and are having issues:
• Be sure that you are choosing PAPER testing. We do not offer the computer version of the test, nor does BHS. This is the most common issue/error that students encounter.
• If LHS is full on the date you prefer, you can choose BHS (or another test site). If both LHS and BHS are full, you will need to choose a different date or location (ie. you may need to drive to a different town). Keep in mind, test centers are National, and students travel to Bismarck to test. It is important to register early to secure a seat.
• Choose a different version of the test (ie. if you are trying to take ACT + writing, try to register without writing. It is likely the writing seats are full).

Still having issues - contact ACT or stop by and visit with Ms. Kappel or your counselor.
