The BSC Music Department offers a variety of introductory classes as well as many performance opportunities for community members and students of all ages.
The Bismarck State College Music Department trains students to become successful and productive performing musicians, teachers, and music industry professionals, giving them a thorough and comprehensive background in the art and practice of music. Experience Bismarck Sings at Bismarck State College on April 8, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium, featuring choral music and vocal performances by local choirs, college ensembles, and talented student musicians. We had an awesome time hosting Ben Suchy & Danny Savage on campus today for SoloCraft: The Art of One Man Banding — and our students got a firsthand look at how these guys build a full-band sound completely on their own. 🔥
From creativity and technique to straight-up performance energy, they brought it all.

📣 A Tradition Returns. 📣
The last time Bismarck State College had a pep band was in the 1980s.
This year, we brought it back.
Mystics Pep Band is the revival of a long-standing BSC tradition, welcoming students, alumni, BSC staff, and community members to come together through music, school spirit, and game-day energy. A new generation is bringing live music back to BSC athletic events for the first time in decades.
