Dakota Alumni Weekend is almost here! As we prepare to welcome alumni and friends back to campus October 2–3, we’re looking for a few extra helping hands in the cafeteria.

Mealtimes are always a special part of Alumni Weekend, giving everyone a chance to sit down, reconnect, and enjoy being together. Our cooks do a wonderful job, but feeding a crowd takes a team!

If you’re willing to help before, during, or after a meal, please reach out to Charlotte soon at (701) 590-1776 so we know we have enough help lined up for the weekend. Whether you can help for one meal or several, we’d be grateful to have you join the team.

Thank you for helping make Alumni Weekend a wonderful time of fellowship and connection!

DAA students were impacted in a positive way by Gary’s relationship with God. He was a chaplain, teacher, and friend to so many. Rest in peace, Pastor Gary.

Save the Date!

Dakota Adventist Alumni Weekend is coming back to the Dakota Adventist Academy campus on October 2–3, 2026, and we hope you'll make plans to join us!

Whether you graduated recently or decades ago, this weekend is a chance to reconnect with classmates, reminisce about cherished memories, explore the campus, and celebrate the friendships and experiences that continue to connect us.

This year's honor classes are:
1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012, 2017, and 2022.

If you're part of one of these classes, now is a great time to start reaching out to classmates and making plans to attend together!

More details, registration information, and the weekend schedule will be shared in the coming months. Until then, mark your calendars—we can't wait to welcome you back!

You are invited to attend a memorial service for Mr. Thomas P. Thompson, who passed away on January 18, 2026. The service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 1:00p at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, 1825 46th St SE, Mandan, ND.

A lunch will be hosted following the memorial at 2:00p at the Bismarck Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1109 N 26th St, Bismarck, ND.

If you feel led to give a gift in Tommy or Ella Mae’s memory, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to the Dakota Adventist Secondary Education Scholarship Fund. Gifts are not necessary, but the family expresses their gratitude in advance for your kindness and support.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Mr. Thomas (Tommy) P. Thompson, age 97, on January 18, 2026, at Southwest Healthcare in Bowman, North Dakota. A memorial service will be held later this spring at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.
