🎢 Come see Horizon and other area bands perform tomorrow at the Autumn Fest Parade at 4:00 PM! 🎢

These students have put in so much work over the past five weeks, and what they’re learning goes far beyond music.

🎡 Perseverance β€” Marching band is more work than most people realize. You can’t just stop when you’re tiredβ€”you keep going! Our 7th graders started just four weeks ago, and they have continued to push themselves and improve every single day.

🎡 Leadership β€” It was awesome watching many of our 8th graders step up today to help our newer 7th graders. They encouraged each other, offered pointers during rehearsal stops, and showed what it means to lead by example. And our drum majors have the huge responsibility of leading their lines and the entire band!

🎡 Teamwork β€” We’ve talked a lot about how we are stronger together. We are a 215-member team, and every single person has an important role. Success happens when everyone does their part and works together.

🎡 And, of course, the MUSIC! β€” Our students, especially our 7th graders, have learned new notes and rhythms, tackled things they’ve never done before, and worked hard to memorize it all.

🌟 This is band. This is music. It’s so much more than notes on a page. It’s perseverance, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and learning to be part of something bigger than yourself.

So proud of these kids, the work they’ve put in, and how far they’ve come. We can’t wait for them to perform tomorrow! 🎢πŸ₯πŸŽΊ

Come cheer them on at the Autumn Fest Parade at 4 PM!

A bit of a full circle moment for Horizon bands. Several of our current students are attending International Music Camp this week. We have a former student who is working as the music camp librarian. And tonight, three of our former students performed on the camp stage as part of the The 188th Army Band - ND Army National Guard. Proud to be a Husky!
