In 1976, Theodore Jamerson Elementary School Teachers, Glenna Mueller (left) and Marvia Boettcher, won recognition for their teaching skills and dedication to education. They both received commendations from the national Outstanding Leaders in Elementary and Secondary Education Awards Program. Their names were included in the 1976 edition of the "Outstanding Leaders in Elementary and Secondary Education" handbook.
