As part of this year's Bridging Conversations theme, this Town Hall brings together some of the most influential voices in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for a conversation across generations.

The discussion will be moderated by Haesun Moon. Our best hope is to foster dialogue about how our panelists began their Solution-Focused journeys, what was most helpful in shaping their practice, how SFBT has evolved over the years, and how they continue to apply it today. They'll also share reflections from working personally with Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg, offering valuable insights into the history and future of Solution-Focused practice.

North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA) is excited to invite you to submit a design for the 2027 NDCA Conference t-shirt. The theme of the conference is “Pathway to Prevention,” highlighting the advancement of collaborative, strengths-based approaches supporting prevention, wellness, resilience, and success for individuals, schools, families, and communities. Submissions will be accepted through September 13th at 11:59pm CT. Email your name, university, and t-shirt design to [email protected].

🚨 Scholarship Applications Are NOW OPEN! 🚨

The TAAP – Training Academy for Addiction Professionals is excited to announce that the North Dakota Addiction Counseling Scholarship application is officially open!

This scholarship is designed to support North Dakotans who are pursuing a career in addiction counseling, including:
🎓 Students entering their junior or senior year in an addiction counseling program or a related field leading to addiction counseling licensure.
📚 Non-degree seeking students who need additional coursework to meet North Dakota addiction counseling licensure requirements.
🎓 Students pursuing a Master's degree in Addiction Counseling at Minot State University or the University of Mary.

📅 Application Deadline: August 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT

📍 Interviews: Applicants selected for interviews must be available between August 17–20, 2026.

⏱️ Funding decisions will be made quickly, with scholarship contracts issued the week of August 24 so tuition payments can be processed directly with your college or university in time for the fall semester.

Recipients will commit to becoming licensed in addiction counseling and practicing in North Dakota for five years following completion of their training, helping strengthen the behavioral health workforce across our state.
