Restoration Bible Institute is moving from 6-week terms to 8-week terms!

As we prepared for the 2026–2027 school term, Dr. King has taken student feedback very seriously. Your voices were heard, your suggestions were considered, and where needed, changes have been made.

At RBI, we understand that effective learning is more than sitting in a classroom and completing assignments. Students need time to process, practice, participate, and apply what they are learning.

That is why our new 8-week term will create greater opportunities for:
•Deeper Learning — More time to engage with course material and develop understanding.
•Hands-On Experiences — More opportunities to take what you're learning from the classroom and put it into practice.
•Practical Application — Connecting biblical, academic, and leadership principles to real-life situations.
•Interactive Learning — More discussion, group activities, demonstrations, presentations, and collaborative learning.
•Ministry Experiences — Opportunities to develop skills that can be applied in ministry, leadership, community, and service settings.
•More Time for Growth — Time to ask questions, receive feedback, improve skills, and strengthen areas that need additional attention.
•Intentional Preparation — Preparing students not just to KNOW the material, but to USE what they know.

This change is part of RBI's commitment to continually evaluate, listen, improve, and provide our students with an educational experience that prepares them for Kingdom impact and real-world application.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that last year Restoration Bible Institute created a special Oasis within our building specifically for our students?

At RBI, we understand that pursuing an education can be exciting and rewarding, but it can also require tremendous commitment. Many of our students balance classes, assignments, ministry, leadership, careers, families, church responsibilities, and everyday life while continuing to pursue their educational goals.

We wanted to create a space that communicated something very important:

Your education matters—but so does having an opportunity to rest, reset, and regather.

That vision became the RBI Oasis.

The Oasis is a peaceful space inside Restoration Bible Institute where students can temporarily step away from the demands of the classroom and enjoy an atmosphere intentionally created for relaxation.

UNWIND

Students can enter the Oasis, sit back, and enjoy a massage chair that provides a relaxing experience for the entire body. After a long day of work, ministry, studying, traveling, or attending class, the Oasis provides an opportunity to simply sit down and enjoy a moment of rest.

RELEASE

The Oasis also includes an eye-massage experience designed to add another dimension of relaxation. Students can close their eyes, disconnect for a moment, and allow themselves an opportunity to release some of the pressures of the day.

RELAX

The atmosphere is completed with soothing water sounds and peaceful music, helping transform the room from simply another space in the building into an environment where students can become still and quiet.

REGATHER

The purpose of the Oasis is not simply to take a break—it is to provide students with an opportunity to regather themselves before returning to the classroom, their studies, ministry, family, work, and other responsibilities.

Sometimes a student needs more than another assignment.

Sometimes they need a quiet moment.

Sometimes they need to sit down.

Sometimes they need to close their eyes.

Sometimes they need to release the day.

And sometimes they simply need permission to EXHALE.

That is why the RBI Oasis exists.

At Restoration Bible Institute, we believe the student experience should extend beyond books, lectures, papers, and examinations. We are committed to creating an environment where students can pursue academic excellence while also having spaces that support their overall educational experience.

The RBI Oasis represents another part of our commitment to the whole student.

Today, Restoration Bible Institute had the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom with an educational visit to the International African American Museum in Charleston, South Carolina.

As part of our Church History course, our students experienced history in a way that went beyond textbooks and classroom discussions. The visit provided an opportunity to explore African American history, culture, resilience, faith, leadership, and the remarkable contributions of generations who helped shape our nation and our world.

Today’s experience challenged our students to recognize that history is more than dates and events—it is the story of people who endured, believed, persevered, served, and paved the way for those who would come after them.

At Restoration Bible Institute, we believe education should transform the way we see ourselves, our history, our assignment, and our responsibility to future generations.

Today reminded us that what we inherit carries a responsibility to preserve, build upon, and pass forward.

THE EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING AT RESTORATION BIBLE INSTITUTE!

RBI and Dr. Kimberly King are excited to announce that SIX amazing candidates are running for the Crown & Title of MISS RBI 2027!

Miss RBI is more than a crown—it is an annual scholarship fundraiser created to help generate funding for students who need financial assistance to pursue their educational goals at RBI.

Our candidates will work throughout the year to raise scholarship funds, and it will all lead up to our exciting Miss RBI Sneaker Ball in April 2027!

The Church History class at Restoration Bible Institute will participate in a field trip to the International African American Museum in Charleston, South Carolina, on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

This enriching experience will bring history to life as students explore exhibits that highlight the faith, resilience, heritage, and contributions of African Americans throughout history.
