HAPPENING THIS WEEK August 10th - 14th!! Stop by the Bishop Indian Education Center any day this week, 8am-5pm, to sign up your students for the After School Tutoring Program.

The Bishop Indian Education Center is excited to announce our 2026-2027 After-School Tutoring Program for 1st – 12th grade Native American students! Registration opens August 10 – 14, 2026 from 8:00AM – 5:00PM here at our Education Center. This is an in-person registration only event.

Our program offers academic support in:

• Math
• Language Arts
• Common Core Subjects
• Spanish Language
• College and Career Prep

The BIEC will be holding a backpack and school supplies drive for Native American high school students from August 3rd to August 7th, 8:00AM - 6:00PM. Stop by the BIEC to grab all the essentials for a successful 2026-27 academic year!

Attention Bishop Paiute Tribal High School Seniors!

The Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Scholarship for a Bishop Paiute Tribal Member High School Graduate!

Eligible applicants must:
- Be an enrolled Bishop Paiute Tribal member
- Be a graduating high school senior with a 2.0 GPA or higher
- Be accepted to a college, university, trade school, technical school, or vocational program

Applications are due by June 12, 2026.

Scholarship applications can be obtained by emailing Susie West at [email protected] or by stopping by the TERO Office at 50 Tu Su Lane in Bishop.

Be sure to submit all required documents, including proof of enrollment, transcripts, an acceptance letter, and a personal narrative outlining your educational and career goals.
