Following our practice lockdown drill today, our first-grade students had a special treat! They enjoyed meeting Ada, the K-9 officer, and learning more about the important work she does to help keep our community safe!

What a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about our local law enforcement and their four-legged partners!

What a fun lunchtime surprise for our students! Mr. Garner surprised Mrs. Garner with a singing telegram for her birthday! The students absolutely loved the performance, and we think Mrs. Garner enjoyed it just as much! ❤️

What a fun way to celebrate a special birthday and bring some extra smiles and laughter to TCA! Happy Birthday, Mrs. Garner! 🥳

🚒🔥Fire Prevention Week!🔥🚒

Our students enjoyed a special visit from the Biscoe Fire Department! Firefighter Morris, one of our very own TCA dads, taught students about fire safety and the important work firefighters do to keep our community safe.

A big thank-you to Firefighter Morris and the Biscoe Fire Department for spending time with our Tigers!

🍎First Grade at TCA enjoyed learning about apples through an engaging cross-curricular Apple-licious Unit! We loved reading fiction and nonfiction selections about apples! Students learned about the life cycle of an apple and its parts. Students also got to taste apples and graph their favorite kind of apple. They tallied, compared, and added using the apple information. Students also learned to label parts of an apple and they loved apple painting and creating beautiful art. A highlight of the unit was a trip to Millstone Creek Orchard where students helped make apple c***r, tasted apples and also picked apples after a fun hayride!🍎
