Jack Coleman finished in Novice as an Octofinalist!

Abigail Yasko won the Junior Varsity division of the tournament!

JSCC as a whole won third place top community college!

There was a Halloween costume contest and “The Wizards” were the second place runner up!

Congratulations to Ric Sayers for breaking into Novice Octofinals in his very first competition at the Razorback Rumble Debate Tournament!

JSCC did awesome at the Tennessee Valley Invitational! All three of our novice debaters broke into elimination rounds! 🥳🥳

Madelyn Allison made into finals and took 2nd place in Novice IPDA debate!

JSCC as a whole, won top community college! We had the highest points of all community colleges at this tournament!

Introducing the new Jefferson State Speech and Debate Assistant Coach, Jacob Davidson! Jacob has been debating with this team for some years now. He has been the debate captain for the past few debate seasons. He’s competed from novice all the way to varsity, breaking into out rounds and even winning a tournament! We are very excited for Jacob Davidson for taking on this position and can’t wait to see what he does with helping us lead the team and the future teams!

Last Monday, the team got together to celebrate the farewell of Jacob Humphries! He has been here since the beginning, starting from being a member and encouraging the transition into IPDA debate, to the assistant coach! We appreciate everything Jacob Humphries has done for the team! He will forever be apart of the JSCC Debate Team!
