Honors students volunteered at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, a space that celebrates Alabama’s legacy in jazz and music.
Through their help in cleaning and tidying the space, students supported an environment where culture and creativity can continue to inspire the community. 💚

UAB Honors College students — Vamsi Singu, Neha Singaravelan, and Rishab Samant — were recently named Barry Goldwater Scholars, one of the nation’s most prestigious awards for students pursuing research careers in science, mathematics and/or engineering.
They were selected for their exceptional academic achievement, research excellence and commitment to becoming physician‑scientists.
Upon graduation, Singu plans to pursue an M.D. and a Ph.D. in neuroscience, and Singaravelan and Samant plan to pursue an M.D. and a Ph.D. in cancer biology.
