It's back!! Our Faculty Writing Group is back for the summer!☀️🌳🌻

It was can hard to focus on your projects when it's hot outside and all you want to do is relax. Our solution: weekly designated writing time. Join us in person on Mondays in Sterne Library, room 174 and/or virtually via Zoom on Tuesdays to write from 10am to 12pm. Any and all UAB faculty members are welcome, so bring a friend and let's get writing!

🎉A huge congratulations to all of our UWC tutor whose hard work and dedication was awarded at this year's English Department Recognition Day!🎉

⭐️ Trice Brown and Okoli Nonso were corecipients of the Collins Family Endowed Scholarship.

⭐️ Tamaa Zankawah received the award of Outstanding Creative Writing Graduate Student and was the Samuel Barker and Dean's Award Nominee.

⭐️ Anoushka Gera won both Outstanding Literature Student and Outstanding English Major.

⭐️ Emmett Christolear was given the Outstanding UWC Tutor of the Year award.

We are so grateful to have such talented and hardworking tutors in our center. Show them some love in the comments! 💚
