The FIFA World Cup doesn't start until June 11th, but the UN General Assembly declared May 25th World Football Day. The resolution was passed in May 2024 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first international football tournament with representation of all regions, which took place on May 25, 1924.

International Museum Day, held annually on or around May 18, aims to raise awareness about the role of museums as hubs for cultural exchange and education. Did you know that, including the zoo and the botanical gardens, there are over 20 local museums within roughly an hour's drive of campus? This summer is an ideal time to get out there and explore!
