What advice would you offer future applicants? "Be aware that this is a HUGE time commitment. It's a job that never really stops."

Currently an RA at: University House (UH)
Current Major: Business Marketing
Favorite aspect of being an RA: "Getting to know a wide variety of people and building those relationships whether professional or personal!"
What advice would you offer future applicants? "Whether you are the best multitask-er there is or the worst, buy a planner! It will come in handy in so many ways, such as: social events, RA programs, RA meetings, school and your personal life! Make sure you get one and actually put it to use!"

It's only fitting to spotlight one of our amazing student leaders during our Interest Session week!

Meet Brian Hester!
Currently an RA in: Camp Hall
Major: Computer and Information Sciences; Philosophy; Mathematics
Favorite aspect of being an RA: "Building relationships with my residents and team members."
What advice would you offer future applicants? "Do some soul searching and figure out why you really want to be an RA. If yo uare only in it for the free room, this will be obvious during your interviews. Housing is looking for RAs who are in it for the impact on residents, community building and working with a team. Determine what this job would mean to you and emphasize that in the later rounds of the interview process."
