BI Birmingham employees recently volunteered with Manna Ministries in Alabaster during its Saturday food giveaway and food service. That day, Manna Ministries served 756 families — with support from its team, BI employees, and many other volunteers who came together to help make the day possible.
The giveaway included canned and dry goods, baked goods, and fresh fruits and vegetables, helping provide essential food support for families throughout Shelby County and surrounding communities.
We’re grateful for the work Manna Ministries continues to do in the community and glad to have had the opportunity to support it.

A chair has a big job.
It needs to support the body, fit the space, and hold up to the way people actually work — which, let’s be honest, is not always the way the ergonomics diagram suggested.
At Business Interiors, we help clients think through seating choices with comfort, performance, and long-term use in mind. As a MillerKnoll dealer, we have access to Herman Miller seating solutions designed to support people across a wide range of work environments.
Because when people sit better, they can work better.

Some spaces need to do a little more heavy lifting.
Executive suites, client meeting rooms, reception areas, and professional settings help set the tone for a company — but they also have to support real work, real conversations, and daily use.
At Business Interiors, we help clients create spaces that feel polished without losing sight of function, comfort, durability, and long-term value.

This month, we recognize and celebrate the work of Lindsey Allinder, a Client Services | Project Manager on Bud Miller’s team, based out of our Birmingham showroom.
With over a decade of experience at Business Interiors, Lindsey plays a key role in guiding projects from start to finish—balancing planning, problem-solving, and real-time adjustments to keep everything on track. She starts each day with a plan, knowing it may shift, and focuses on managing expectations and keeping projects running as smoothly as possible.
Her path to BI began in customer service at an office supply company, where early exposure to furniture opened the door to this industry and onto Business Interiors. Since then, she has built a well-rounded foundation across multiple roles at BI, giving her a deep understanding of both process and ex*****on. She’s known for seeing projects through from an empty space to a fully functional environment—always with a steady, solutions-driven approach.
“If you’ve worked with Lindsey, you know how incredibly thorough she is. She pays attention to every detail and makes sure things are done right the first time. Beyond her impressive work ethic, she’s someone everyone genuinely enjoys being around—kind, positive, and always willing to help. We’re so lucky to have her on the BI team.”
—Shannon Speakman, Client Services | Director of Project Management
“Lindsey is so valuable to our team because of her experience. She has dealt with just about any scenario you can think of. She is the steady rock of our team and a quiet leader. She handles tough situations with grace and consistency. I speak for the rest of our team when I say, I don’t think we would know what to do without her!”
—Bud Miller, President | Client Advisor | Principal
Thank you for your dedication to BI’s success, Lindsey! ✨

Campus spaces have to do more than function. They help shape how students, faculty, staff, and visitors experience an institution.
At Business Interiors, we work with higher education clients to create environments that support connection, collaboration, focus, and the everyday moments that make a campus feel welcoming.
MillerKnoll’s “Hospitality in Higher Education” article explores how hospitality-inspired design can support libraries, student lounges, faculty offices, and shared spaces — helping institutions put people first.

Business Interiors partnered with Dentons Sirote and KPS Group to support the renovation of Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham office.
BI previously furnished the office when the firm first moved into the space more than two decades ago, and this renovation provided an opportunity to refresh key areas of the workplace for the next chapter of the firm.
Following the firm’s transition from Sirote & Permutt to Dentons Sirote—and its connection to the global Dentons network—the renovation focused on shared and client-facing spaces throughout the office, including conference rooms, reception and lounge areas, café and bar spaces, a library lounge, and a multipurpose intern workspace designed to support collaboration and recruiting.
The result is a more contemporary environment that reinforces the firm’s refreshed identity while maintaining the professionalism expected of a law office.
Working closely with KPS Group, the BI team helped implement furniture solutions that support both the functionality of the renovated spaces and the firm’s evolving workplace experience.
