Black History Month is in full effect, and we’ve got some exciting events planned just for you, starting with bowling… with a twist!
Join BGSA for an ICONIC Black History–themed bowling night. Come dressed as your favorite Black icon, era, or pop culture moment. Think legendary, unforgettable, and creative.
Your favorite meme from a Black influencer? A basketball great? Favorite civil rights activist? A music legend (maybe someone from a famous family of five brothers with the last name Jackson)? The possibilities are endless.
Come out for fun, laughter, and a guaranteed good time with your fellow BGSA members.
Want to bring a guest from outside UAB? No problem. They’re welcome to attend for a small $4 fee if they RSVP by the deadline.

Please join us this Thursday virtually from 2 to 3 PM for our BLACKademics panel! BLACKademics is a cross-disciplinary STEM panel designed to give students a clear look at what comes next. Featuring professionals from a range of scientific fields, this event offers real insight into graduate school pathways, career trajectories, and life after earning an advanced degree. Undergraduate students considering further education and current graduate students preparing for their next steps are invited to join us for practical advice, candid experiences, and guidance from those who have been there.
