💚💛 Celebrating 10 Years of Leadership 💛💚

Today marked Dr. Antonia G. Ishman’s final day as principal of Booker T. Washington K–8 School. For the past 10 years, she has served our scholars, faculty, staff, families, and community with dedication, vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Under Dr. Ishman’s leadership, Booker T. Washington K–8 made tremendous academic progress—rising from a D to a B on the Alabama State Report Card, receiving statewide recognition for its remarkable turnaround, and earning national STEM certification.

As Dr. Ishman prepares to begin the next chapter of her career in curriculum and instruction, we celebrate the lasting legacy she leaves at Booker T. Washington K–8. Thank you for believing in our scholars, supporting our teachers, and always encouraging the Braves to reach higher.

Dr. Ishman, we are proud of you, we appreciate you, and we will miss you tremendously. Congratulations on your next chapter!
