On October 8th, Oak Mountain HS is hosting the Second Annual “Mighty Mini Mudder XC 1K Fun Run.” This is a unique activity for elementary students in grades K-6th. Many of our area schools have running clubs for this age group. The event is an opportunity to put all of that hard work and training on display on part of a true high school cross-country course. The event surface is mostly grass with some gravel trails and the famous Heardmont Creek crossing.

This is a really fun way to highlight the hard work the students have invested into running while strengthening the relationship between our schools and community. Proceeds from the Mighty Mini Mudder benefit the Pacesetter’s Club, which supports the needs and future investments for OMHS XC.

Start time: 4:30 (Kindergarten will run first, with a rolling schedule by grade to follow.)
Cost: $25 (includes T-Shirt and event fee)

There's still time to join our production of Beauty and the Beast! Each year, our community education program hosts the Balcony Players, led by Mrs. Lee Eady. She works with our students after school for several weeks throughout the year. In the Spring, the group performs the chosen theatrical production.

Mrs. Eady is a former theater teacher at Briarwood and has over 40 years of experience. When creating Balcony Players, her hope was to create an organization that would help students develop self-confidence and teamwork through performing arts. This group meets on Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:15 pm at OMMS. There are several students currently registered for this year's production, but there are still a few spots left! Use the link below to register.
