It’s always fun to see what my kiddos come up with at the end of the year—— they pay attention to all the little things. I don’t remember saying I was going to spend all of Devin’s money this summer but apparently I am 🤣 lots of Target and coffee in my future..sounds good to me! I have these downloads on my TPT if you need a print & go fun writing assignment for the last bit of school!!

EEEKKKK!!!! I’m SO PUMPED to share with y’all that has launched their school line!!! I am obsessed with all things sparkle (and flowers and orange and pink) so the countdown until this launch was super exciting for me!!! Everything is SO CUTE! haul of some goodies I got for my classroom! I’m going to use the rugs near my sink. The disco balls are too good to pass up!! I may use them near my desk. The smiley mirrors are going to become a mirror wall and I am leaning towards putting them on a few of my cabinet doors instead of the wall- but we shall see! The tablecloths are going to be PERFECT for a GrOoVy Classroom transformation I’m in the middle of creating. && last but not least, the spray bottle is going to be used for “Boo Boo Spray” that I saw make!!! Carpets at my school get cleaned this week and then it’s GAME ON for decorating!

&& that’s a wrap. Room has been packed up & cleared out, keys have been turned in, and I said goodbye to some of my fave people in the world!!! Next stop—> Auburn! I hope everyone has THE BEST summer. If you’re interested in following along I’ll be putting a new classroom together, moving into a new house, & just living a crazy chaotic summer so stay tuned 😂 I would say my first day of summer is going to be a nap by the pool but I’m officially back on twin duty aka stay home and watch them while packing our house up to move! Class auction day was a success! I cleared my cabinets & room….and the kiddos got to take home stuff and turn in their classroom money!! Tomorrow is our last day and like every year I am in complete denial 🥹 This year I’ve had the sweetest group of kiddos and the funniest group. We’ve prob spent most of our time laughing, so hopefully they learned something! 😅 If you’ve never done a class auction I highly recommend it! Have the kids earn money or you could even give them a set amount, hold up an item and let students “bid” on the item, start with a lower price (I usually start each item at $5), and then keep going up in 5 or 10 dollar increments until only one hand is left up! Then SOLD! The ground rules I have include: no arguing, no change, you can go in together with friends, trades and giveaways are fine after the auction ends, and no tears! It’s always such a fun day & the kiddos seem to love it! Do you do an auction in your classroom?!

Pajama day, bare classroom walls, boxes mostly packed, empty shelves.. and YEARBOOKS! Must be the end of the year! I am still in SHOCK that we only have a couple of days left!! I remember being in elementary school and being SO PUMPED to have friends and teachers sign my yearbook! It’s no different as a teacher. I love writing notes to all of the sweet munchkins I get the chance to work with and know during the school year..but this year it seems so sad since I am moving to another city 😭 Tomorrow is our class auction followed by class awards on Thursday! Will DEF be soaking up these last few days!! How many days do you have left?!?

Well. I have five days left with kids in this room. Five. This school, this room, the people in this building mean the world to me. This district is a home and such a special place. It’s so odd to be making big life changes— even when you know it’s the right one— and to have to leave something you love behind. I’ve spent the past couple of afternoons starting to pack up some of my things and going through the ten years worth of stuff I have. Starting to hit me I have five days left. Can’t wait to make the most of those five days and to hit the ground running at my next school, which I know will also be fabulous!
