Our favorite time of the year is one month away and we cannot wait to see you and your family at Fall Family Weekend 2026, October 2-4, 2026!
Come, join us for Family Weekend! Visit with various campus partners during the Blazer Mixer, participate in Recstravaganza, attend an Off-Campus Housing Fair, and relax at a Friday Night Live Movie event...AND of course, tailgate at Blazer Village before our UAB football team takes on our neighbors, Samford University.

Come back to campus October 2-4 for Fall Family Weekend and explore the vibrant city of Birmingham and immerse yourself in the local on and off-campus culture. Meet with representatives from UAB’s colleges, schools and other campus services during the Blazer Mixer. Enjoy yard games, live music performances, dive into the fun at Recstravaganza, check out the Off-Campus Housing Fair, and enjoy a "Friday Night Live" Movie Night

Freshman and transfer undergraduate families of the Class of 2030, remind your student to participate in the First Year Convocation, Class Picture, and the New Student Convocation Blazer Cookout as UAB welcomes them to campus!
Students will wear their UAB Class of 2030 t-shirt which they picked up from the First Year Experience table at Connect Fest 2026
Students living on campus will be escorted to Alys Stephens by their Resident Assistant. On-campus students (and anyone else who wishes to join the parade), need to gather on the Campus Green near the fountain in the plaza next to Blazer Hall and the Commons between by 5:00 to head to convocation. The parade to head to Convocation will begin promptly at 5:15pm.
Off-campus students, will meet in the Off-Campus Student Lounge in Hill Student Center room 140 for a pre-Convocation social event before joining the parade to Alys Stephens.
