Commencement Ceremonies will be held today at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, all at Bartow Arena.

Doors will open one hour prior to each ceremony. There is no limit on the number of guests who can attend the ceremonies. Bartow Arena enforces a clear bag policy. Strollers must be left in the concourse area. No balloons allowed inside Bartow Arena. Visit the UAB commencement website for full details. Use the hashtags and on social media.

Free public parking is available in the 12th Street Parking Deck. Before and during the ceremonies, 13th Street South will be closed to through traffic to accommodate pedestrians around Bartow Arena. Parking for persons with valid state handicap permits or tags is available in Lot 24 on the south side of the Bartow Arena Lot. Attention CLASS OF 2028 families! As your student reaches the halfway point of their undergraduate journey, UAB Second Year Experience is hosting a special celebration in their honor. This "HALF WAY THERE" event will feature a banner where sophomore students can write messages and signatures, tasty cookies, and a mini-graduation tassel. Remind your sophomore student to stop by the following Stress Less Week activities to celebrate their accomplishments and share in the joy of reaching this significant milestone.

With final exams just around the corner, next week will be a time for students to work on final projects and papers, but it will also be a great moment for your students to take time to de-stress.
