Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are writing to inform you that our school will be closed for the next two days due to a significant outbreak of Influenza A (Flu A) among our students.
Today alone, 48 students were absent and/or checked out due to flu-related symptoms. Several of our teachers are out sick as well. After careful consideration and consultation with health guidance, we believe that a short, temporary closure is the best practice to protect the health and safety of our students, staff, and families.
This closure will allow:
Time for students and staff who are ill to recover
A reduction in the spread of the virus
Additional cleaning and sanitizing of our facilities
School will be closed on: February 3rd and 4th
Students may return to school on: February 5th (see below)
We ask that students only return when they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication and are feeling well enough to participate fully in the school day.
Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, or body aches, and contact your healthcare provider as needed.
We understand that unexpected closures can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and partnership as we take this proactive step to ensure the well-being of our school community. Updates will be shared if any additional information becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
JCA Administration

Sincerely,
