Congratulations to our newest National Junior Honor Society members! 🎓

This week, Derby Middle School proudly inducted 115 students into NJHS. These students were selected for their commitment to the five pillars of the organization: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Membership is an honor, and it is also a promise. Our new inductees have pledged to keep leading by example in the classroom, in our hallways, and in our community.

Thank you to the families, teachers, and staff who support these students every day. We are so proud of you, Derby! We can't wait to see what this year's NJHS group will accomplish!

🐉This year Derby Middle School welcomed new Assistant Principal, Rita Briguglio!

We are thrilled to welcome her to the Dragon family! Mrs. Briguglio has spent the first weeks of school getting to know our students and staff and she is excited to partner with our students, families, and staff to make Derby a place where every Dragon feels known and supported.

When you see Mrs. B in the halls, at arrival, or at an upcoming event, please stop by to say hello and share a warm Dragon welcome!

🌈✨Calling all Derby 6th and 7th graders! 🎉 Student Government is hosting the Annual Neon Night Bash on Thursday, October 8th, from 7:00 to 8:30pm.

🪩💃🏀 Come dance, shoot some hoops, and hang with your friends.
🎧 Star Trax Entertainment will be keeping the music going.
🏆Contests and gift card prizes all night!

💚💙💜🩷🧡 Dress to impress in your brightest neon!

🎟️Tickets are $10 at the door (exact change, please).
🍿🍭Concessions will be sold for an additional fee, so bring small bills.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Join the fun on September 27th at 9am. The 5K and 1 Mile courses will both start and finish at Beverly Park and wind through the beautiful West Beverly neighborhood.

8th grade WEB Leaders welcomed the new 6th graders today for our annual WEB Day. 6th graders were greeted by staff and students and participated in multiple fun activities and even a personalized tour of the school!
