Ready for my first full day of my updated studio. First stop Atlanta, then to Alabama and later Australia! It’s going to be a great and late day!

Today has been a very difficult day.
For the past 18 years, this room has been the home of my vocal studio. It has been a safe haven; a shelter through storms, a place where dreams came true. These walls have held so many melodies, enough tears to sink a whole fleet of navy ships, and enough laughter to make me smile for the rest of my life upon remembrance of them.
My first day here, I prayed that God would use this space to encourage, educate, and enlighten everyone who came through these doors. I vowed not to use negative words like, “wrong” or “bad” but rather use each moment to correct unhealthy habits and discover a new better way to execute a lyric. It’s never just a performance, but a moment made. Songs were birthed in this room, individuality was promoted, and a whole lot of healing happened. AND, oh can we talk about the secrets that were told (I could write a book)!! I’m talking blackmail, probably send a few people to jail kind of secrets! 😜 jk. I told every client this was a safe space where they could say anything, sing all the wrong notes, make all the mistakes and they were safe. I mean, I’ve made bigger vocal mistakes and probably in front of thousands of people so it’s so much better to work it out in front of me rather than in front of a big audience. I’ve kept all the secrets and all the dreams my clients shared deep deep in my heart and I will continue to do that.
In less than 48 hours (41 to be exact) when I was notified to vacate the space; this room is empty, but my mission and the studio continues just in a different physical location. My landlady was great to me the entire time I was there. She never once increased my rent, not one single time and she never complained at the weird, sometimes ridiculously funny sounds that came out of here, and for that I’m eternally grateful. That’s a God thing for sure. My life was changed by all of the wonderful and precious people that have entrusted their voices to me! I love you all so much more than I could ever express! ❤️

Had so much fun getting to “judge” the fabulous kids at Metro Church of God tonight. These kids had so much talent and were so sweet. Kellie is leading this group incredibly well; it’s no wonder churches all over are using her Christmas programs. Honored to get to be a part. ❤️🎵🎄

This is Yaffa Adar, 85 years old from the Kibbutz Nir Oz. She is one of the documented hostages captured by hamas on October 7. She is a great-grandmother and the “glue of her family.” Hers is the first face I see in the morning and the last I see before going to sleep at night. I don’t know her, but my heart and spirit are intrinsically connected to hers. I pray for the well-being and safe return of all the hostages twice daily along with the Shema. My challenge to you is to find a picture of one of the hostages and pray for them daily. שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ יְיָ אֶחָדSh'ma Yisra'eil Adonai Eloheinu Adonai echad.
