In honor of Woodlawn High School’s graduation today, they’re our next Anytown school shoutout! We’re so excited to have Woodlawn represented at Anytown Alabama again this year! We’ve already had alumni speak to our students at our various other programs this year, and we look forward to seeing what greatness this year’s students will achieve!

What schools will be represented at Anytown Alabama this summer? Next up, we have The Altamont School! We are so excited to have some of our Heritage Panel and PEACE Bham students from the Altamont Miree Ethical Leadership Center at camp this year! Their students have already shown us some of their leadership & community building skills, and we cannot wait to see them grow even more at Anytown! If you’ve ever been a part of ACE’s Life Skills Education training in Bessemer, done Heritage Panel in Bessemer Middle or High School, or been a part of ACE’s professional development for teachers in the last few years, you’ve probably had the pleasure of meeting Tonjala Eaton. She’s ACE Alabama Culture Coach and is an incredible liaison, kind person, talented professional, and the kind of person you always want on your team! She believes in the students and teachers we work with and will always find a way to help them grow & envision new goals for themselves. We’re so proud to have a partnership with Tonjala, and are grateful she’s part of ACE’s work with Bessemer City Schools! 🌟🩷⭐️✨🎉💜☀️

We’re so glad we got to meet half of our Anytown 2026 Delegates and their parents last night!!! Thank you to the LJCC for hosting us & to our ACE board, Anytown Staff, and IHR staff for coming and making it a success!!! What schools will be represented at Anytown Alabama this summer? For starters, we have students from Ramsay High School. We are always so grateful for the turnout of Ramsay students every year! Their students are so passionate, kind, and fun! We cannot wait to meet this year’s students & see what kind of leaders they are! 46 days until Anytown Alabama 2026 is here!!! We wanted to share a little bit more about what we do at camp (outside of strengthening leadership skills and building community). This year we’re at UAB, but we will still have free time options like going to the pool, playing outdoor games, board games, or just hanging out with friends. We will also have line dancing, singing, team activities, and small groups throughout the week! We learn and grow so much at camp, but we also have a lot of fun! Anytown Alabama 2026 is only 7 weeks away! We’re so glad to be a quarter of the way to our fundraising goal of $40,000; thank you everyone who has already contributed! We still need $29,500 to reach our goal so we can provide scholarships to this year’s amazing delegates! We have students from over 25 different high schools and 5 counties across Alabama! Help us be the difference for them, so they can be the difference in their communities!
