Today was a fun STEM day for Kindergarten! They learned about volcanos so that they could play "floor is lava" bear edition. They created different shaped structures using the same blocks to see how many bears they could rescue from the dangerous lava!
What a BUSY week we have had! This week our school has had plenty to do— Ms. Henley’s class had their publishing party, Mrs. Chessin took her students to the museum of flight, Mrs. McDonald and Mr. Brock took the upper school kids to Washington D.C., we all welcomed our alliance friends from across the country to our school, and lastly Mrs. Matthews had her sweet baby Eloise!

Everyday she will introduce and discuss someone who is black that has positively impacted our world today!

Today in Mrs. Chessin’s class, they read and discussed “Martin’s Big Words” and then examined an image of children holding protest signs from the Children’s March. They even discussed the history of nonviolent resistance. Students then created their own signs to display in the school library with their reactions to famous words from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

With small class sizes, our teachers are able to maximize the full potential of their students by having the ability to give each child individualized instruction. This challenges our students to excel and reach higher levels of academic achievement at a pace that is comfortable for them.
We are so proud of our kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders for putting on an amazing Thanksgiving program today!🦃
