Our students who attend Art are learning about different artists for Black History Month! Kindergarten and 1st have done Gee’s Bend Quilters, Jean-Michel Basquiat, while 4th and 5th graders have created Kimmy Cantrell masks!
Our 4th and 5th grade scholars had a great visit from health professionals Dr. Tameka Hines and Dr. Hernando Carter. They discussed the importance of developmental hygiene, teaching students key habits for staying healthy as they grow.
The visit sparked thoughtful discussions and encouraged our scholars to take charge of their personal well-being, leaving them with lasting lessons on how to maintain good health throughout their lives!
Happy National School Counselors Week to Ms. Shawna McGriff for all of the incredible work she does to support, listen, and guide our students every day. Your kindness, care, and dedication truly make a difference in the lives of our scholars and staff!
