Attendees at the 2016 Metabolomics Workshop
We are down to the last week.... I will be sending a final email out in the next day or two.
There have been several people who did not get to attend this year; we will miss you. If you are interested in attending next year--2017--please go to the website, find my email address, and shoot me an email. I will place you on an email list that will go out in January or February of next year. That will give you plent of time to get ready. I have several on that list already.
See you all very soon.
Remember to check the weather before arriving... we get pretty warm around here (temp of 94 today) and we can experience
un-forcasted torential downpours in the afternoons.
Hello to all our folks coming this year! We are so excited you will be joining us. We're five weeks away from the workshop. It would be great to review the videos and pdf files from last year/2015; a link was emailed to you. They will serve as an introduction.
Besides the basic training in how to design, execute and analyze metabolomics studies, the Workshop offers electives in specialized topics. Note that two of these involve the use of programs that can be run on your computer, XCMS in RStudio and Mummichog in the terminal mode. To qualify for these electives, it is necessary to have had prior experience in using R and/or in command line programming. You will receive an evaluation questionnaire later this week.
The agenda will be available later this week (hopefully). Keep an eye on the website for that. We have excellent group of speakers, including Dr. Zoltan Takats from Imperial College, London.
If you have questions, you know how to reach me.
Have a great week!

Apologies for the workshop info being unavailable for the past 24 h. We had a power crisis in our building on Wednesday and yesterday UAB Maintenance had re-route power to the building - that included the area where the server is located. This entailed all the power to be switched off first. Power has now been restored. Thanks for your patience!
