The Knights are the defending Area champs and have one more matchup tonight before the tournament begins. ⚫️⚪️⚔️

🏀 POSTSEASON IN SIGHT! The Varsity Boys have been on 🔥 recently, currently sitting at 2nd in the Area with one more game to play. If the boys win their first matchup of the Area Tournament, they’ll return to the sub-regionals for the first time since 2022.

The Knights take on Altamont in the final Area game tonight before the tournament begins this weekend. Let’s go Knights! ⚫️⚪️⚔️

🏃 STATE MEET THIS SATURDAY! It’s been a minute since the last post but not to worry - we are back with several updates included this one on Indoor Track. Our teams have seen a high number of PRs this season along with many state qualifications! 🔥

The boys seen here finished 2nd in a recent 4x800, knocking out several 7As along the way! 💪

The Knights head back to the Crossplex on Saturday where they will challenge for the state title! Come on you Knights! ⚔️⚫️⚪️

🏀 ALUMNI! We are excited to host Return to the King - an alumni reception and basketball game on Saturday, January 6th! There will be prizes, games, and a nice, friendly competition between our former Knight basketball players 😉

🏃‍♂️ QUALITY FIRST MEET OF THE SEASON: The Knights are back in the Crossplex and already setting records! 🔥

⏱️ From Coach Carrell: “Westminster participated in 25 events and had 20 personal records. We had 3 Top 5 all-time Indoor performances (Alex #3 and Weaver #4 (3200m), Sam #5 (LJ)). Our 4x800 teams received medals: Boys - Bronze (school record performance) and Girls - 6th place. Remember that there were over 1500 athletes at the meet and most were 6A and 7A teams.” 🤫

A solid start to the year. The Knights will head back to the Crossplex for their next meet on January 6th. ⚫️⚪️⚔️

🏀 SENIOR KNIGHT THIS FRIDAY! We are celebrating our basketball seniors this Friday at Kingwood vs LAMP! 👑

📆 JVB start things at 4:30p, with the Senior recognition happening at approximately 7:00p. Be there! ⚫️⚪️⚔️

🏀 BASKETBALL KEEPS ROLLING: The Knights put lots of games under their belts in November, and now creep into December with Area games on the horizon! 🌅

But first, several more matchups against tough non-Area opponents including Thorsby, tonight at Kingwood! JV tips it off at 4:30p. See you there! ⚪️⚫️⚔️

🏀 BASKETBALL IS BACK! The Knights are well into their new season with multiple wins under their belts, including a strong 30+ point victory over Billingsley last night for the boys! 💪

⏭️ Next games are Tuesday at HOME vs Tuscaloosa Academy. JV Boys 4:30p, Varsity Girls 5:45, then Varsity Boys to cap the night. Come out to Kingwood to support! We will see you then!!

💍 RING CEREMONY! Join us Tuesday night at Kingwood as the Knights basketball teams take on Tuscaloosa Academy where, at halftime of the Varsity Boys game, the 2023 Girls Soccer team will be honored by getting their state championship rings! 💍 👀

⚽️ All alumni and their immediate family are free, so come out to Kingwood and remember some good times from not too long ago! First games start at 4:30p, with the ring ceremony happening at approximately 7:30p. ⏰

🏃‍♂️XC TEAMS FINISH STRONG AT THE STATE MEET: Congratulations to both the varsity boys' and girls' cross country teams for finishing in 4th place at the AHSAA State Cross Country Meet (Class 5A)‼️

🏃The boys' team was led by Weaver Caldwell with a time of 16:38.  Weaver finished 12th overall and earned All-State honors.  The rest of the top 5 Westminster finishers were Alexander Montgomery, Micah Adams, Charlie Davis, and Daniel Vansant.   

🏃‍♀️The girls' team was led by Emily Mungai, who finished in 18th place.  The rest of the Top 5 Westminster finishers were Pippa Hussar, Kayleigh Dowis, McKenzie Bell, and Savannah Schleicher.

The Knights will retain their 5A status for the next two years and look to jump even higher in the future! Well done!! ⚪️⚫️⚔️
