Congratulations to UABSON DNP student Andrew Semegram and BSN alumnus Nicholas Seay, who are the recipients of the Birmingham Chapter of the AAMN's 2026 Excellence Awards! The awards recognize outstanding contributions to the nursing profession and exemplify the highest standards of patient care, leadership and academic achievement.

The Bordelon Professional Nursing Award of Excellence and the Eagerton Nursing Student Award of Excellence were established by the Birmingham Chapter of the AAMN to honor the chapter's founders, Dr. Curry Bordelon and Dr. Greg Eagerton.
