Future Ready 2026 Academy Alumni!

Congratulations to A’Mera B. and Joshua E. for completing research internships with the UAB Center for Community Outreach (CORD) program! Today, they shared their research with community members alongside their mentors.

🩺 A’Mera built on her Academy of Health Sciences experience to study the impact of environmental chemicals on breast cancer diagnosis.

💻Joshua applied his Academy of Engineering experience to examine the reliability of AI in identifying drug safety signals.

Academy scholars Brandon, Kennedi, and Jayden are having a great week with their Birmingham City Schools peers at the Regions Bank High School Experiential Learning Program!

This morning, under the guidance of Regions professionals, they explored careers in marketing and communications by touring Regions’ media studio, giving the Regions logo a Gen Z-inspired glow-up, developing a media release, and planning an interactive fan experience for a sporting event, all before lunch!

Thank you, Regions Bank, for providing our students with such an engaging, hands-on learning experience!

Following our tour of Assembly Atlanta, we had an eye-opening visit to SCAD - The University for Creative Careers's Atlanta campus. With over 100 majors, our scholars loved learning about programs ranging from casting, acting, writing, film, advertising, and design to so much more. We toured the studios and recording spaces available to SCAD students and learned how students have contributed to major companies’ advertising campaigns. Thank you, SCAD, for an awesome tour!
