Exceptional Congrats to Dr. Wilson, our dedicated school librarian. She has written and published 5 books. She will be reading her books at Center Point Public Library on Saturday, June 6th@10 am. Bring your kids for a fun day of reading. Dr. Wilson is more than a keeper of books, she is a builder of dreams, imagination, and lifelong readers. By day, she inspires students to explore new worlds through reading, and as a children’s book author, she creates stories that encourage, empower, and uplift young minds. Her passion for literacy is helping children discover the magic, joy, and power found within the pages of a book.

Last week, Sun Valley Elementary proudly hosted the 2nd Annual Extra Mile Awards Ceremony. This special event was conceived and organized by Mr. Ellison (5th Grade Teacher) with the assistance of Mrs. Holt . Mrs. Moore, and Coach McCants.
During the ceremony, students were recognized for their participation and achievements in the All-City Choir, Spelling Bee, Math Derby, Academic Bowl, Chess Team, Cheerleading, Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball Teams, and Girls’ and Boys’ Newcomb Teams. Students arrived dressed for SUCCESS, making the event even more memorable and inspiring.
The program was a tremendous success and served as a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our students. Special kudos to Mr. Ellison for his vision and leadership in organizing such a meaningful event that shines a spotlight on the excellence of our Sun Valley students.

This week, we celebrate the caring heart, helping hands, and dedication of our amazing school nurse, Nurse Tiffany Reaves. Thank you for the comfort you give, the care you provide, and the countless ways you support the health and well-being of our students and staff every single day.

From bandaging scraped knees to offering kind words and compassion, you make a difference far beyond the nurse’s office. Your patience, professionalism, and love do not go unnoticed. We appreciate you today and every day!
