Greater Birmingham Auburn Club The GBAC is the official Auburn University alumni club for Jefferson and Shelby counties in Alabama.

The GBAC sponsors multiple social and fundraising events to raise money for our scholarships and foster the Auburn spirit in Jefferson and Shelby Counties. The GBAC currently has seven endowed academic scholarships at Auburn. Eligible students from the Jefferson and Shelby County area benefit from these scholarships that total approximately $500,000. Harbert College of Business is launching new professional and executive education courses at Auburn in Birmingham, beginning with **Practical AI for Business on October 15, 2026**.

The new one- and two-day courses are designed to give Birmingham-area professionals practical skills they can put to work right away.

Why go to the the Distinguished Awards Dinner (or DAD)? Well, let us help you answer: 🫡

DAD gives the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club the chance to recognize those who have had a significant impact on Auburn University - this is our chance to celebrate the people who have helped shape Auburn and honor the legacy of those who continue to make a difference. 🦅

But DAD is about more than an awards ceremony - it is an opportunity to gather with fellow Auburn alumni, friends, and supporters from across Birmingham, hear inspiring stories from some of Auburn’s most distinguished alumni, and celebrate the Auburn spirit we all share.

The Greater Birmingham Auburn Club is proud to host a tailgate tent at the 17th Annual Boiling N Bragging for a day that combines the Auburn family with a great cause—supporting critical care transport for children across Alabama.
