Congratulations to Soror Mercedes Allen on competing her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with minors in Pre-Law and Psychology. She was on the Dean’s List multiple times throughout her studies. She served as the chapter chaplain from Fall ‘25 to Spring ‘26 and as the parliamentarian in Spring ‘26. Soror Allen also served as the Vice President of Development & Finance for UAB College Democrats. She plans to start her Master’s in Sociology and then attend Samford for Law School to obtain her MPA/JD. We thank you for your contributions to the chapter. We are so proud of your accomplishments.

Congratulations to Soror Jadaria German on competing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She served as the chapter historian from Fall ‘24 to Spring ‘25 and as the chapter president from Fall ‘25 to Spring ‘26. She was also on the executive board for the Student Nurses’ Association at UAB and a VA Nursing Scholar. We thank you for your contributions to the chapter. In honor of our service week, we will be taking donations for First Light Homeless Shelter throughout this week. Boxes will be in the residence halls for donations or you can contact a member to coordinate pickup if needed. 🤍💙

We are proud to celebrate Graduate Soror Tyveria Hawthorne, a Spring ‘24 initiate. She is a Sociology major who graduated youngest in her Fall 2025 class. Soror Hawthorne was a UAB BWOMEN Community Committee Co-Chair, Member of the Society for Women in Pre-Law, as well as the Anti-Basileus for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Gorgeous Gamma Theta Chapter during the Fall 2024-Spring 2025 academic year. Moving forward, Tyveria plans to obtain her MBA and JD through Samford University’s joint degree program with dreams to be sworn in as an attorney.

We are proud to celebrate Graduate Soror Miss Phi Beta Sigma Amaris Love, a Spring ’25 initiate and Psychology major who graduated Magna Cum Laude. Soror Love was a UAB Active Minds member, a Psychology Research Assistant, and served as the Fall 2025 Mental Health Promotion Intern through UAB Mental Health Services, as well as the Fall 2025 Anti-Basileus for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Gorgeous Gamma Theta Chapter. She will further her career and impact with her sights set on PhD programs in Social Psychology for Fall 2026.
