The Samford Parent 2026-27 Resource Guide and Calendar is now available online.

A hard copy will be given to all parents of incoming Samford students during Bulldog Days and will be mailed to returning Parents Association Collegiate and Presidential Partners this summer.

Samford Family Weekend is September 25-27, 2026, and the entire family is invited to attend! Parents, grandparents, siblings,… 

Events begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and conclude on Sunday afternoon. Visit samford.edu/parents/family-weekend for more details. Registration will open in August.

Parents of incoming Samford students are invited to a Zoom call with Residence Life where you will learn about the roommate and room assignment process.

My SamFam is a brand-new, host home program designed to foster meaningful relationships between Samford students and Birmingham-area families. Through intentional hospitality, shared meals, and time together, students experience a sense of belonging beyond campus while families offer encouragement, wisdom, and support during a formative season of life.

Incoming freshmen through rising seniors are invited to participate, with priority given to students who live over 400 miles from Samford. Learn more at samford.edu/parents/mysamfam.

We’re still celebrating our graduates and their proud parents!

30 years ago, Deanne Pace graduated from The McWhorter School of Pharmacy. It was very special for her to watch her daughter walk across the stage last week, with a degree from the Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing.

Jennifer and Allan Colyar have served on the Parent Advisory Board since 2021. Last weekend, they celebrated the graduation of their daughter, Allison, who will be back on Samford’s campus in the fall to work on her Master of Social Work. Their older daughter, Grace, is also a Samford alum, class of ‘24.

This past weekend, we welcomed hundreds of families to campus in celebration of our Samford graduates. It was so much fun to see the many proud parents on the quad Thursday evening, taking pictures as their sons and daughters participated in the Senior Walk.
