Ms. Gates is no stranger to our school family. After serving our students and school community as a dedicated teacher, she now steps into a new leadership role where she will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and staff.

Her commitment, passion, and love for education have already made a difference—and we are excited to see her continue that work in this new capacity.

💚✨ Our 5th Annual Back-to-School Pop-Up is almost here! ✨💚

Every year, we're reminded that kindness has the power to change lives.

This event isn't just about backpacks, clothing, or school supplies. It's about making sure children head into a new school year feeling confident, encouraged, and knowing their community believes in them.

None of this would be possible without our incredible sponsors, grant funders, community partners, businesses, churches, volunteers, and every person who donates new and gently loved, high-quality clothing and essentials throughout the year. Your generosity is the reason we're able to provide this event completely free to local families. Thank you for helping us create something so special for our community. We truly couldn't do it without you. 💚

This year's event is packed with fun! In addition to backpacks, clothing, shoes, toiletries, laundry detergent, free haircuts, hot food, a bounce house, and a petting zoo, we're so excited to introduce our very first T-Shirt Bar! 👕🎉

Each registered child (Pre-k to 3rd Grade) will get to choose their favorite back-to-school design and watch it be pressed onto their shirt right at the event, creating a custom shirt they'll be excited to wear on the first day or 100th day of school.

The registration link will be posted right here on the Be Kind Birmingham page and will go live at 10:00 AM.

Please read before registering:
✔️ Registration is required.
✔️ Each child must have their own ticket.
✔️ Pre-K - 12th Grade Students can register
✔️ Households may register up to 2 children.
✔️ Children MUST be present at the event to receive items and services. Please do not register if your child will be unable to attend so that another child has the opportunity to participate.
✔️ Spots/supplies are limited, so we encourage families to register as soon as registration opens.

We are counting down the days until Saturday, August 1st and we cannot wait to welcome hundreds of amazing children for a day filled with kindness, laughter and memories they'll never forget.
