Dear (former) Axis Music Academy students, parents, staff, and family,
For 30 years, Axis Music Academy has stood for confidence, self-esteem, musicianship, camaraderie, and a musical family. The educators and staff have stood by these principles for the entirety of the academy’s establishment. Sadly, recent events have, apparently, necessitated the final closure of Axis Music Academy, and the sudden displacement of its community of students, staff, parents, and families.
While the frustration and loss of this academy...this FAMILY...hurts on many emotional and practical levels, some of the former staff has taken it upon themselves to not let what has been built simply fade. While we are all no longer employees of Axis Music Academy, some of us have taken it upon ourselves to try to forge a way forward in an attempt to retain as much of what our community has striven towards.
We are currently in contact with our educators, students, parents, as well as logistical and financial interests, advisors, and allies in an attempt...a hope, to see if we can build something better from the ashes.
Please, stay tuned to your emails for updates. To our dedicated educators, do what you must in the mean time, but know what we are to to each other and you to your students. Keep that in mind. To our parents and students, please try to be patient over the summer as we strive to build a new trust based on our relationships, our expertise, and what you’ve accomplished with your teachers.
We promise as open exchange of information as is possible, as we explore what we can do to build something stronger from this. This situation caught us ALL off guard, and we, as the unyielding and dedicated staff, are doing our best to salvage, maintain, and rebuild the THRIVING musical community we’ve all worked so hard for.
We hope to have good news soon, and we’ll let you know as progress solidifies.
With love and musicianship,
Your Faithful Musical Family
