Hilltop Montessori School was founded in 1996 and provides a beautiful learning environment for students 18 months through eighth grade. Laurel and certified by the National Wildlife Federation, and a member of the Million Pollinator Challenge Project. We hold four accreditations from Cognia, SAIS, NCPSA and AMS.

Our Story
Hilltop Montessori School was founded in 1996 and is currently the only school in Alabama with the following educational accreditations: Cognia, NPSA, SAIS and AMS. The school is also the only private preschool and elementary school in Alabama to be located in a LEED certified green building with the U.S. Green Building Council. HMS is also proud to be the only school in Alabama that is fully accredited by NCPSA, SAIS, AMS and Cognia. A campus of over 7 acres offers two separate buildings, providing a beautiful learning environment for students ranging in age from 18 months through eighth grade.
