Harrington-Flutes-Birmingham

Here they are… the 35 superstars from the 2026 Harrington Flutes Spring Recital. It went VERY well and I am one proud, if tired, teacher. Seniors- I will miss you!! ❤️🎶❤️

Thankful for a busy week, including a lovely engagement party for Flute, Cello & Harp at , a very exciting concert for organ & orchestra at featuring Vincent Dubois (organist at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris), and finally judging Band Placement auditions at . Is it May yet??

This was a tremendous week for the Harrington Flute Studio! Anli and Khalil snagged (respectively) 3rd Place and Honorable Mention spots at the HS soloists competition, and Sadie earned a position at the Musicians’ Institute at for Summer 2026. It makes this teacher so happy when hard work pays off!

So happy to play at the beautiful today, Palm Sunday! First time seeing a donkey 🫏 at a gig.

Got to play all the flutes this month! So thankful to be able to play again with the A*O! 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶

Congratulations to Anli & Khalil for advancing to the final round of the High School soloists competition! And big shout out to all of these young people for making All State Orchestra, All State Band, All District Band, or All County Band (or in some cases, all of the above!). I am proud of your hard work and dedication!

It’s been a great week for the Harrington Flute studio! Khalil advanced to the finals of the MidSouth HS Soloists competition; Anli, Ruth, Caroline & Lexie (not pictured) are having a blast at All State Orchestra; and Allie came to see me at last night’s A*O concert, after completing 3 rounds of successful college auditions ❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️

December part 2: so much fun to play Holiday Spectacular! And to close, lovely Advent programs at and St. Francis Episcopal Church. Now to have a little time off with family. Merry Christmas! 🎄
