Parade route reminder for Friday!!
We are generally in the loop at the high school, but don't yet know our exact line-up spot.

Younger kids, especially U6 and Kickstart are welcomed and encouraged to have an adult stay with them during the parade.

All kids walking or riding should plan to bring their own bag of candy

Wear your AYSO shirt or uniform top!

Sharing for the Rigda family who have been steady supporters of Birch Run AYSO almost since it began in our region. From helping to level fields at locations past and present, welding goals when the region needed new ones, to multiple generations playing and coaching.
Help us to help them, even just sharing to spread this further.

Our family is asking for a little help during an incredibly dif… Angela Rigda needs your support for Supporting Paul through an unexpected medical emergency

💙💛⚽️ developing athletes, but also good humans!

Some of the most important lessons our kids will learn from youth sports have nothing to do with sports.

A youth athlete learning how to approach their coach with a question or concern ... will become an adult who can do the same with their boss.

A youth athlete learning to navigate disappointment about playing time without blame... will become an adult who knows how to take ownership of reaching their career goals.

A youth athlete learning to work with a teammate they don't necessarily connect with off the field... will become an adult who can do the same with a coworker in a boardroom.

A youth athlete learning how to prepare for and execute a team tryout ... will become an adult who knows how to prepare for and put their best foot forward in an interview.

A youth athlete learning how to be coached even when it's tough to hear... will become an adult who earns a reputation for being coachable when they start a new job.

Youth sports aren't only preparing our kids for the next game, season or level.

They're preparing them for life.

Let's make sure we're not always trying to fix things for them..... and instead empowering them to work through the moments themselves...

So they can take all the life lessons they learn from them into the next stages of their lives.

⚽ NEED HELP WITH THE COST OF YOUTH SOCCER? ⚽

We wanted to share a resource with our AYSO families that may be able to help with registration costs!

Every Kid Sports Pass helps eligible families pay for recreational youth sports. Families who qualify can receive up to $150 toward youth sports registration fees.

Your child may qualify if:

✅ Your child is between 4–18 years old
✅ Your child is currently enrolled in Medicaid, SNAP, or WIC
✅ The sport is recreational — not elite or travel
✅ The season lasts at least 4 weeks

If approved, the funds are provided through a digital Check card, which is used to pay the sports organization directly. You cannot pay the registration out of pocket first and then be reimbursed.

If you think your family may qualify, it is worth checking out the program and seeing if it can help make soccer a little more affordable.

👉 Learn more and apply: Every Kid Sports Pass https://pass.everykidsports.org/

💙⚽ We want every child who wants to play soccer to have the opportunity to do so!

✅ The sport is recreational — not elite or travel Community leagues, parks and rec, school teams all qualify. Select/elite travel teams do not.

For any parents, family members or kids 12+: our Area is hosting a referee course this Sunday, September 27, at 8:00 a.m. at Durand Union Station (the train depot), 200 S. Railroad St., Durand, MI 48429.

We need more referees to help cover our games, and this is a great opportunity to grow our referee teams across the Area.

We understand this is a bit of a drive for BR families, but if you're looking to get certified this season, please take advantage of this opportunity!
If you would like to attend, please comment below as we need to communicate with the Area about expected attendance.

Posting a reminder of game etiquette and expectations! Help us keep our sidelines POSITIVE this season. Support our teams and referees every week.

⚽ Respect the call. Protect the game. ⚽️

Bring your enthusiasm. Cheer for the kids. Respect the referees.

Disagreeing with a call is never an excuse for personal attacks, threats, or intimidation. Every referee deserves a respectful environment, and every player deserves adults who set a good example.

Our region supports AYSO Area G’s Stop Referee Abuse campaign. Help us keep the focus on the kids and the game they love.
