Students ages 8 to 13 and their families are invited to get a hands-on look at modern manufacturing during Discover Manufacturing: LEGO® of What You Think You Know.

Using a LEGO® build as their guide, participants will explore how modern manufacturing works and learn about career opportunities and companies making products right here in our area. Teachers and counselors are also welcome.

Please join us in welcoming Miss Connie Nguyen as a long-term substitute teacher at Chenango Bridge Elementary!

A CV graduate, Miss Nguyen earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies and master’s degree in childhood education from SUNY Cortland. Her experience includes substitute teaching in neighboring districts and working with third grade students at Donnelly Elementary as a practicum student and student teacher.

She is looking forward to being part of a collaborative team and giving back to the community that poured so much into her. We’re happy to welcome this Warrior back to CV!

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Gonzalez as a technology teacher at Chenango Valley Middle School and High School!

Before becoming an educator, Mr. Gonzalez worked as a 3D artist for a gaming company and in web development. Now entering his tenth year as a technology teacher, he brings both industry and classroom experience to CV.

Mr. Gonzalez is looking forward to getting to know our students and becoming part of the CV community. We’re excited to see the creativity and perspective he will bring to our technology classrooms!

We’re proud to share that artwork by CV students will be featured in this year’s Colorscape Student Art Exhibition!

The exhibition will be open at the Chenango Arts Council, 27 West Main St. in Norwich, during the Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival:
* Saturday, September 12 | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
* Sunday, September 13 | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free! Enter through the Main Street doors and follow the signs to the gallery. Exhibition winners will be announced Sunday at 3:10 p.m. on the NBT Main Stage.

Join us for the fifth annual Make Your Own Sunshine Rebecca Mercik Memorial Run/Walk on Sunday, October 4, at Chenango Valley High School. ☀️

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the run/walk starts at 9 a.m. Registration is a $10 donation, and gray or pink T-shirts are available for $18.

The event is sponsored by the Chenango Valley Cross-Country Running Club, and all proceeds will benefit the Make Your Own Sunshine RLM Foundation.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Kalli Bigart as a first grade teacher at Port Dickinson Elementary!

Mrs. Bigart comes to CV with ten years of elementary teaching experience in the Greene Central School District. Most recently, she taught fourth grade, and she also brings experience in special education. She is certified in both general and special education from birth through sixth grade.

Mrs. Bigart is looking forward to helping her students grow, learn, and discover all they are capable of. We’re excited to have her join the Port Dickinson team!
