YES! Celebrating strengths and learning difference❤❤

This may help the world spin in a positive direction for people with learning differences.🌎Amanda Gorman shared her powerful voice today with her inspiring poem for the inauguration. ❤️💙💛
Very few people would realize that her childhood included struggles with speech, auditory/language processing, sensory processing and reading skills. No articles have been found reporting "dyslexia" although she was " late at learning to read." Many children with dyslexia have a very similar history of speech difficulties, auditory processing/language processing struggles and difficulties learning to read.
Her creativity, intelligence , poetic speech, enormous grit and desire to show her strengths are very classic characteristics of people in the dyslexia community. She was fortunate to receive specialized help,mentors, extended time accommodations and private school. The New Roads private school includes a belief system in supporting neurodiverse students, executive function skills, accommodations, self-advocacy skills , inclusivity,critical thinking and authentic diversity. This sounds like a fabulous school to receive help for areas of need and get numerous supports to develop passions and self-esteem.
She has spoken up about the importance of focusing on strengths and getting help for learning differences. 😃
Many of you also know that President Biden will be a role model for the millions of people who stutter. He also understands post-concussion issues related to car accidents in children as well as brain cancer.
