Medical services will be available at no cost during Healthy Broome — and here’s what you should know!

🩺Services include:
• Ages 16+: Preventive care, acute disease management, appropriate referrals
• Ages 6-18: School physicals
• Ages 18+: Behavioral health screenings

✅Helpful tip: While not required, we recommend bringing any medical records and a list of current prescriptions. This will help the medical providers deliver the most informed care.

📍These services will be provided at The Ice Center at SUNY Broome Community College

Need a ride to Healthy Broome? We’ve got you covered!

Broome County is offering FREE Broome County Transit rides to Healthy Broome!

From August 11-20, anyone attending the Healthy Broome mission can ride BC Transit at no cost. Hop on the bus, let the driver know you’re headed to Healthy Broome, and you’re on your way – no fare required.

Broome County and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) are partnering for a joint mission called Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) named Healthy Broome. From August 11 to August 20, 2025, military medical teams will be at SUNY Broome Community College offering no-cost services to the community, including:

🩺 Medical care
🦷 Dental services
👓 Vision exams
🐾 Veterinary services (dogs & cats only)

Is Guardianship the Only Option? An overview of Guardianship and the Many Alternatives on July 17 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Let’s face it nothing keeps parents up at night more than thinking about who will care for our child/children when we are no longer able to care for them.

This workshop will increase the knowledge of families of individuals with disabilities about the options besides legal guardianship for adults with disabilities.
If your adult child does not need full guardianship, there are other options that we will explore in this presentation.

We will also discuss guardianship and the legal requirements.
