This group aims to provide support to the Decker School of Nursing students and those who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing at Binghamton University. Mahoney Nursing Support Group is grounded in the life of the great woman from which this organization takes its name. Underrepresented students with a strong interest in pursuing a degree in nursing must have a solid support system behin
d them. Moreover, this group creates an inclusive environment for all Binghamton University students. This will allow them to cope with the rigorous demands of the program here at the Decker School of Nursing.This support group exists as a safe haven, resource center, and ultimately gives students the extra helping hand that will be a crucial factor in their successful completion of a baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Through the efforts of everyone a productive and comfortable environment can exist which will allow all to eventually obtain the success that Mary so humbly did many decades ago.
