South Central Regional Information Center - SCRIC

We empower schools by delivering innovative technology solutions and exceptional support.

We are proud to partner with and serve the educational communities in the SCRIC region by providing technology resources and support to best position school districts to meet the vision, mission, and goals of their school community. The SCRIC region comprises three regional New York State Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES): Broome-Tioga BOCES (BT BOCES), Delaware Chenango Madison Ot

sego BOCES (DCMO BOCES), and Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES (ONC BOCES). A wide range of technology resources and support are available to school districts. You may interact with some of the technologies school districts use that are supported by the SCRIC. Some examples may include: school district websites, phone call/text message alerts, school district Internet connection, Google Drive access, checking student grades (student/parent portal), and technology devices.

One way the demonstrates its commitment to is by providing learning opportunities for our team to build new skills and explore valuable resources. Our recent Canva training helped our team discover new ways to turn their ideas into impactful visuals, enhance , and save time with easy-to-use offering templates and customized designs.

Recently, members of SCRIC’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy team attended Gartner’s Security & Risk Management Summit in National Harbor, MD.

The partnered with ParentSquare to host the 2nd Annual User Group Lunch and Learn. This event served as an opportunity to keep districts informed, connected, and supported as they expand their use of ParentSquare. Topics focused on platform updates and enhancements, end-of-year considerations, first-hand migration experiences from Andes Central School and Broome-Tioga BOCES, and implementation insights from the SCRIC perspective. A big round of applause goes to the many SCRIC and district staff who presented and to ParentSquare for their !

We’re so proud of two techs who recently helped with an eRate2 project at Deposit Central School District. Together, they installed new network switches in the NOC along with two additional closets. The last photo captures the scope of the work and the reality of working in tight spaces – one of the techs had to climb through the small opening to get behind it since that was the only way to access the area.
